I can't believe it is so long since I put anything into my diary.
Just a quick up date from the 18th. We went running over Clougha on the Tuesday, the weather was good, I enjoyed the run a lot. On Wed 19th we did a walk over Nicky Nook, I like Nicky Nook, it always reminds me of the hills in Devon. Thursday 20th I went to the hairdressers, it is a newly opened shop, Jan the hairdresser works on her own at the moment, I was her only for customer for two and half hours! That is how long I was in there! I had a non permanent colour and cut and blow dry and was pleased with the result. Thursday afternoon I packed ready to go to Bournemouth and tidied up the house.
Friday 21st caught the 8.57am train to Bournemouth, changed at Wolverhampton, all went smooth arriving in Bournmeouth at 2.10pm. Helen, Andy and the boys met me at the station. Andy was going on a course in London so left us at 3pm. Helen and I took the boys to the park, it is lovely to see them, they are so gorgeous.
Saturday 22nd, day before George's birthday! Took them to Honey Farm, had a lovely time although it was bitterly cold. George had the pant's scared off by a loud cockerall which was funny for us but not for George! I bought him a marshmallow cone and a gingerbread man. We went home and Helen and I started to make George's birthday cake, a Wilson train from Chuggington. It looks good! Exhausting! Andy arrives home at 8.30pm we are all tired and retire early.
Sunday 23rd. George's birthday. Helen has put up the banner I made for his birthday, and I am quite proud of it, looks great up on the wall. George stared at it and said oooh! He has lots of presents already and gets stuck in. George is into postman pat at the moment, most of his presents have a postman Pat or Chuggington theme!
George has a party arranged at a local fitness club where they have soft play, 15 children and their parents! It was exhausting but great fun, they had a birthday lunch which was sandwiches, cake and fruit. A good birthday!
Monday 24th. Helen goes off to work and Im left looking after George and Harry, they were very good boys, Harry had a morning nap and George and I played trains and whatever else George wanted to do! Went to the park, had lunch, George and Harry then both had an afternoon nap (bliss) watched neighbours, Helen home at 4.30pm.
Tuesday 25th Helen off to work, looking after boys, have caught a cold and feel like death, the worst headache for a long time. Phoned Helen at lunch she is coming home, feel a bit of a failure like I have let her down, but could not cope with the boys and such a debilitating headache. Went to bed.
Wednsday 26th Headache mostly gone, still feeling unwell but ok enough to look after the boys. The boys are feeling unwell too. George is very pale and quiet. We eventually get out to the park at 3.30pm but George was not really in the mood, but we needed some fresh air so I persevered..
Thursday 27th Had to go to the bungalow to sort out the notes and x-rays, sorted them out for disposal, Thank goodness that job is done. Just the desk, computer station and junk in the shed to get rid of. Bungalow is looking very sad and unloved. Felt sad and stressed and cold no heating and trying to snow.
Friday 28th 9.55am train back to Lancaster via London. Have to catch the tube on my own today, Janice is busy. Bit nervous but I want to get over the hurdle of being scared of doing it on my own. Get my tube ticket £4.00 and make my way to the Northern line to Euston station. Find it ok, get on, after 2 stops I think I might be on the wrong one so get off and go back to Waterloo tube, but I realise I had been on the right one so get on the next one that comes along. Get to Euston, have a hour to kill before my train. Wander around looking a the shops and people, a bit souless train stations, they try to make it pleasant but it does not work, I think being a sensitive person does not help, too many people, lots of rushing around, noise, cold, tired, don't like it! Buy myself some lunch from M&S, sandwich etc. Get on train at 13.33. Get home 16.26pm. Im glad Im home!
Saturday 29th. Don't rush to get up, but should really as it is a lovely cold bright day. Poached egg and toast for brekkie and a slice of toast and marmalade, I like weekend breakfasts, relaxed and usually Richard cooks it which I love. Go to Tythe barn wood, a fellow flickr friend who owns a local wood has let us use it for our land art. Still feeling under the weather, I can't muster the effort to do any land art which annoys me, but not enough to make me do any! Rich makes a lovely little paper birch bark sculpture. Jacket potato and beans for tea and watch a film called The Kite Runner, which was very good.
Sunday 30th. Have caught up with my blog now, Cold, dry, damp looking, grey day. Poached egg for breakfast again. Went to a local boot fair, a particulary rubbish one, literally, so much dros for sale, disapointed. Looking for barbie dolls to buy, found none! Persuaded Rich to drive to White Lund where they have have a regular car boot there. In the middle of a industrial estate down a bumpy lane, wondering if we were going to get mugged. Not many cars there, in a covered unit is an array of more junk, but in amongst it what do we find, dozens of barbies and ken's, wey hey, dabby doozie, my happy exclamation words! Bought ten of them, need to get going on that project, it is going to be great, and a laugh!
Not going to get up to much else today, Rich is doing some overtime for work. Im going to have a tidy up and then prepare myself for many tasks for this week.
