As you can see I did not blog yesterday, not because I did or didn't want to, I just forgot. It is not easy to get into the habit of writing a daily blog, particularly if nothing exciting has happened and there is nothing to tell, which to be honest is most days in everyones life!
It was another grey day yesterday, a cold wind making it feel colder than the actually temperature which was 4. I live in a house with very little insulation, and until I end up buying a house of my own I will have to put up with it. Maybe that will happen this year or maybe not, it depends on how quickly the house in Devon gets sold, which will probably be slow because my ex husband lives in it and does not want to sell, do I need to say more, I don't think so!
I intended to go out yesterday but decided not to because it was cold and rain showers and that is the mood I was in. I did manage to get a couple more letters done on George's banner. I am not particulary good at sewing. but I am making an effort to create his birthday banner and though it is rustic looking, (which is a term for not perfect) I think it looks quite good!! I hope he likes it anyway, and as he is only 2years old I am sure he will.
We are looking after a neighbours cat while our neighbour is on holiday in Australia, (lucky thing), well Rich is looking after the cat really, we go over there and sit watching the tv in the eveing to keep Cassie the cat company. Cassie is a funny cat as are most cats, she will not let us stroke her and if you attempt to stroke her she scratches or tries to bite you, but she does not mind being stroked with your foot! She looks very grumpy and has a constant scowl on her face, Im not sure if that is her normal look or if it is because she wants her mum home and she is taking it out on us! I think she appreciates us going over and she definitley appreciates Rich going over to feed her! She has a cat flap so she can go in and out whenever she wishes.
I remember when I was a child, cats howling during the night, I used to think it was a baby/babies crying and on a very regular basis used to go into my parents bedroom frightened and concerned that someone was leaving their babies outside to cry, my mum had a hard job persuading me differently, but nowadays you never or I never hear cats howling outside so maybe it really was babies! (or possibly unneutered male cats trying it on with a female or showing aggression to another male moggy! :)
Im going to go and get some breakfast, it is 10.15am, this non going to work does have some benefits, for now! J x
