Ahh the last day of January 2011, the days are already starting to get longer, the birds are busy getting ready for little ones and the spring flowers are starting to poke their heads through, even though winter has not left us yet, there is a feeling in the air of spring to come.
The temperature is still low today 2, so not particualry warm. cloudy and grey, but it still feels good out there. I hung the sheets out on the washing line, brave or daft we will see, while I was out there the air felt good. Going for a walk at lunch time, putting the run off for a another couple of days, the cold is still lingering and I think a walk will do me more good. So off to do that now, it is 12pm already, where does time go to?
Went to Clougha for our run, I did do a bit of a run, once you get going it's not too bad. It was cold and the ground was hard from the ice and cold temperature, lots of grouse kept flying out from the heather and wild blueberry bushes which made me jump, the grouse that is not the bushes! There is a new crowd of sheep at the bottom of Clougha, they looked at me with amused faces, looking up as I ran past and then carried on with eating their patch of grass! Sheep are so funny!
Showered as soon as we got in, needed to warm up and have some lunch. Watched my daily episode of Drs, finished sorting out the bedroom, phoned Auntie Wendy re: Jen, poor Auntie Jen has a brain tumour, it was first diagnosed almost 2 years ago and she was only given months to live, it has been a living hell for her, chemotherapy for nearly 18 months, which did not work one little bit, and now just waiting for the inevitable, she is only 60, it's so sad.
Dinner salmon fillets with veg and home made potato wedges, played a hour or two of Harry Potter on the Wii, nearly time for bed! Another day tomorrow!
J.
